Account & Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated household data.

What gets deleted?

A deletion request will remove:

  • Your account information (name, email, user ID)
  • All property profiles and household records
  • All uploaded artifacts (photos, documents, receipts, manuals)
  • All extracted household data (assets, providers, events, reminders)
  • Notes, service history, and related household context

Some limited information may be retained where necessary for security, legal, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or compliance reasons.

How to request deletion

To request account and data deletion, email us with your account details. We will confirm your identity and process the request.

Email
Include your account email and any property IDs you have access to.

Note: This is a manual deletion process. A self-service account deletion flow is planned for a future release (see issue #90).

Response time

We will respond to deletion requests within 7 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, unless legal or compliance obligations require a longer retention period.

Before you delete

If you want a copy of your household data before deletion, you can export your records first. Contact us at support@homesterapp.com for export instructions.
